Suzana Tulac was born and raised in Croatia. She moved to California in 1997. Her Ph.D. in molecular biology was a result of collaboration between Stanford University, where she worked for five years, and the University of Zagreb, Croatia. As her three kids entered elementary school she became actively involved in children’s science education. Over the last few years she attended many talks and workshops on the history of science. She realized there is a lack of fun, accessible materials on this subject for children which prompted the idea for this book. In addition to science, she is very passionate about photography. She lives with her family in Mountain View, CA.
